MIT chemists develop sensor to detect presence of PFAS in drinking water

Device will allow water to be tested before consumption

A sensor has been developed by MIT chemists that detects small quantities of PFAS, or forever chemicals, in drinking water and in various manufactured products. The new technology has allowed researchers to discover PFAS levels as low as 200 parts per trillion in water samples.
