Turbine vibrations cause particles to enter aquifer, residents say

Chatham, Ont. – A North Kent wind farm has been touted as a potential cause for the clogging of nearby private water wells, according to an investigation by the Ministry of Health. A panel of experts was assigned to look into the matter, finding no widespread health risks. An investigation was demanded in 2018 by area residents who figured vibrations from the erection of turbines at the wind farm caused particles to enter an aquifer that feeds the wells.
