Pentair introduces two ag pumps

April 20, 2017  By Administrator

The 10T series of pumps feature epoxy coated bowls, bronze impellers and bearings to provide efficiencies in 80 per cent or greater range.

This spring, Pentair Flow & Filtration Solutions has two new pump series under its Berkeley brand made for agricultural and municipal applications: the 10TMH submersible turbine pumps and the 10VT vertical lineshaft turbine pumps.

The 10T series pumps are designed for a wide range of municipal and agricultural applications, Chris Charland, one of Pentair’s ag irrigation product managers, announced in a preview at Groundwater Week in Las Vegas.

They feature epoxy coated bowls, bronze impellers and bearings to provide efficiencies in 80 per cent or greater range. Five 10T series models assure the right pump for your particular installation.

Other features include a heavy-duty discharge adapter in class 30 cast iron with a bronze top bearing and stainless steel journal; heavy-walled class 30 cast iron bowls that incorporate precise hydraulic design for maximum efficiency and performance; and a positive “Bowl Lock” feature that eliminates risk of bowl loosening.

The wear rings enable pumps to be re-built to maintain original factory performance and a non-corrosive sand cap protects the bronze suction bracket bearing and stainless steel bearing journal.

The 10VT and 12VT vertical lineshaft turbine pumps feature heavy-duty, cast iron bowls and investment-cast, 316 stainless steel impellers. The pumps are designed as a solution for high head, low flow, irrigation applications.

Key features include a 416 stainless steel shaft that is precision ground and polished for reduced running friction and increased durability; bowl bearings in bronze and rubber options; a heavy-duty discharge case in class 30 cast iron, with multiple thread size (6″ and 8″) and thread direction (right and left hand) options.
