BCGWA convention to host McElhiney Lecturer

Langley, B.C. – Gary Hix, the 2019 NGWA McEllhiney Lecturer, will address the British Columbia Ground Water Association trade show, convention and annual general meeting as its keynote speaker this spring.

The annual event is set for April 10-11 at the Coast Langley Hotel and Convention Centre in Langley, B.C., the association’s new general manager, Dave Mercer, told Ground Water Canada. Mercer succeeded Kathy Tixier in the position last fall.

Hix will deliver a talk entitled “Drilling markets change – so must we” at lunch on April 10. A panel discussion on flowing artesian wells is planned for April 11.

The two-day event will feature the popular silent auction on the trade show floor and culminates in the President’s Gala Banquet.

A two-day well drillers’ course will run alongside the convention.
