November 7, 2011 – John Guest now offers colour-coded collet covers for use in water treatment and filtration systems.
The collet covers, which are available in imperial and metric sizes, are part of John Guest’s standard line of quick connect fittings. They are made of durable, tough cross-linked polyethylene (PEX).
Accessory collet covers are available in the following colour selections for colour coding purposes: black, yellow, blue, red, grey and green. Available sizes range from 3/16” to 5/16” and 4mm to 22mm.
The key to the fittings’ locking ability is their patented collet, which comes with stainless steel teeth to grip inserted pipe, and, along with an ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) O-ring, provides a permanent, leak-proof seal.
John Guest also offers a collet locking tool in sizes ranging from 3/16” to 1/2”.
