EPA gives $1.9M to researcher to find lead in water

Blacksburg, VA – The Environmental Protection Agency has awarded the Virginia Tech researcher who first identified lead in water systems in Flint, Mich., and Washington, D.C., a $1.9-million grant to study other U.S. cities where lead-tainted water is suspected but where residents are struggling to get help from their governments.
