Fukushima ‘ice wall’ reduces contaminated water by 95 MTD, says plant operator

Tokyo – An underground wall of frozen soil surrounding the Fukushima No. 1 Nuclear Power Plant that blocks ground water from flowing into the plant has reduced the amount of radiation-tainted water generated by 95 metric tons per day, plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. estimates.
