Ground Water Awareness Week approaching

February 14, 2018  By Ground Water Canada

Feb. 14, 2018, Simcoe, Ont. – Ground Water Canada is highlighting awareness, sustainability and education during Ground Water Awareness Week March 11 to 17.

We know that as drillers you take pride in being stewards of ground water.

We mark this special week in conjunction with National Ground Water Awareness Week in the U.S., an annual observance sponsored by the National Ground Water Association that brings attention to the importance of ground water as a valuable resource and stresses the need for yearly water testing and well maintenance.

During that week, www.groundwatercanada.com will serve as a hub to help foster awareness and education among the well owners you serve and the general public. As part of that, we will focus on education for you, the well driller. On our website’s home page you will find

·      shareable tips for well owners
·      tips for water well contractors on community outreach
·      spotlight on research
·      fact sheets on contaminants
·      helpful links
·      and more!

When you get a break between jobs, take a moment to look at our website, Facebook and Twitter pages. We’ll have quick-hit ground water facts you can share with your own followers. We hope you will find resources you can share with customers and with your team.

While you are there, sign up for our free enewsletter, which comes to your inbox every second Thursday and is a great way to stay in touch with your industry.

We welcome submissions and news tips we can share to help us raise the profile of this precious resource.
