NGWA to host webinar

August 3, 2011, Westerville, OH – The National Ground Water Association (NGWA) will host an online webinar on the use of nitrogen-15 and carbon 13 to trace NO3- and NH4+ contamination and attenuation.

The webinar, scheduled for Sept. 27 at 11:00 am ET, will address:

  • Recharge and pathways of ground water and nutrients in agricultural watersheds;
  • Redox goechemistry and the nitrogen cycle;
  • Nitrogen-15 in NO3- and NH4+ from agricultural, domestic and industrial sources; and
  • Sampling and analysis of nitrogen species for isotope analysis.

The webinar will be presented by Ian Clark, PhD, professor of isotope hydrology at the University of Ottawa.
