Niagara Region captures OWWA’s best tasting tap water honour for second straight year
Region advances to American Water Works Association competition in June

Niagara, Ont. – The Niagara Region has Ontario’s best tasting tap water, according to delegates who attended the recent Ontario Water Works Association’s annual general meeting taste test competition.
A sample was submitted from the Rosehill Water Treatment Plant in Fort Erie for testing and captured top honours for the Niagara Region for the second straight year.
The taste test took place in Toronto at OWWA’s AGM. Delegates sampled drinking water from various municipalities throughout Ontario to declare a winner.
The win enables the Niagara Region to compete at the American Water Works Association’s “best of the best test” which takes place in June in Toronto.
