Niagara region has Ontario’s best-tasting drinking water, OWWA attendees decide

Niagara – The Niagara region is being lauded for having the best tasting drinking water in Ontario.

The region was chosen after more than 1,000 attendees at May’s Ontario Water Works Association Conference in Niagara Falls tasted several samples from participating municipalities in the province.

Niagara is advancing this month to the “best of the best taste test” at the American Water Works Association’s conference in Texas.

The region’s water-wastewater division provides safe drinking water and treats wastewater for 11 municipalities within Niagara. Its water division operates six water treatment plants and 21 water storage facilities in addition to five odour control stations.
