Nova Scotia counties receive water and wastewater infrastructure funding

Antigonish, N.S. – Three levels of government have announced funding to support improvements to water and wastewater infrastructure in the municipalities of Antigonish, Colchester and Richmond in Nova Scotia.
Once complete, these projects will modernize water and wastewater infrastructure in the municipalities of Antigonish, Colchester and Richmond, improving efficiency of services and limiting maintenance and operating costs, while creating healthier, sustainable communities, the release said.
The federal government is investing more than $1.2 million toward these projects under the Green Infrastructure Stream of the Investing in Canada infrastructure plan. The province is contributing more than $1 million to these projects. Colchester County is providing more than $449,000, Antigonish is providing more than $292,000, and Richmond is providing more than $66,000.
