Iqaluit, Nunavut – A call has been made for the federal government to earmark $180 million to end the capital city’s water emergency. Nunavut MP Lori Idlout said it’s an issue of basic human rights, adding Iqaluit needs a new water source and treatment plant. The city is under another boil-water advisory following the recent discovery of fuel contamination.
