Climate Change has provided information for water system operators on
blue-green algae blooms.

"As a provider of drinking water,
you need to be aware of the potential risks posed by blue-green algae
blooms near your intake, and the kinds of actions you can take in order
to mitigate these risks," says the Ontario Water Works Association website.
A ministry fact sheet provides details about the potential risks posed
by blue-green algae blooms and actions operators can take in
order to mitigate these risks.
