Ontario First Nation community celebrates opening of its long-awaited new water treatment plant
Project helps put end to lengthy boil water advisory

Thunder Bay – People in Shoal Lake #40 First Nation are celebrating the completion of a new water treatment plant they are comparing to winning the Stanley Cup and which has helped the community emerge from a boil-water advisory that has lasted 24 years. The acquisition of a water treatment has been a long-time goal of the First Nation. The Ontario Public Works Association has awarded the community with its Public Works Project of the Year for Small Municipalities and First Nations for the plant. CBC News report | READ MORE
