St. Thomas, Ont. – The Ontario Ground Water Association’s board of directors has announced the appointment of Dennis O’Grady as its new managing director.

“We are very excited to have Dennis join us as managing director for our association,” says Dwayne Graff, president of OGWA and owner of Well Initiatives, which specializes in protecting and maintaining groundwater supplies for municipalities, farmers, and commercial businesses. “Dennis has 32 years of experience as executive director with conservation authorities and is very knowledgeable in managing organizations like OGWA.”

O’Grady worked with conservation authorities for 37 years across Ontario, has a masters degree in public administration and a certificate in municipal administration.  He has worked with a variety of agricultural, rural, municipal and environmental organizations over his career.

“I’m excited to begin working with OGWA,” O’Grady said.  “OGWA has a rich collaboration with industry, environmental consultants, and drillers – all working to provide clean drinking water to farmers, municipalities and industries. Together, they allow Ontario to thrive, and I’m proud to be part of this organization.”
