Ontario seeks to extend the current moratorium on water bottling permits

Toronto – The Ontario government proposes to extend the current moratorium on new or increased permits to take groundwater to produce bottled water for up to six months, to April 1, 2021.
This extension is intended to give the government time to thoroughly review and consider feedback received and further consult on how to carry out its proposed enhancements to water taking.
