Ontario township looking into dome to contain salt, sand from contaminating groundwater
Cost of structure estimated at more than $140,000

Limerick Township, Ont. – A dome to store salt and sand to prevent the materials from leaching into groundwater is being explored by township council. The structure is estimated to cost more than $140,000, but would keep salt and sand contained which might otherwise potentially contaminate drinking water and the environment.
