P.E.I.’s new water act regulations ready for implementation, but water groups have concerns

Prince Edward Island – Regulations of the province’s new water act come into effect this weekend, including a moratorium on high-capacity wells for irrigation. Although some water protection groups applaud the new measures, they also have questions about how they’re going to be implemented. Some say the provincial government has rushed the new regulations.
