Bacteria forms when pipes not filled with water

Prince Edward Island – Residents living in rural parts of the province are being urged to test their water wells for the possibility of bacteria in the wake of Hurricane Fiona. Bacteria, including coliform, can form in pipes when not filled with water. Lengthy power outages due to the storm would have set the stage for bacteria to take hold. CBC News report | READ MORE
