P.E.I.’s AquaBounty expansion gets green light, Council of Canadians objects

Charlottetown – The Prince Edward Island Department of Environment has approved an application by genetically modified salmon producer AquaBounty Canada to repurpose Snow Island’s Atlantic Sea Smolt plant in Rollo Bay West. The Council of Canadians has expressed concern about the amount of water that will be extracted and about effluent going into the stream. CBC News reports. | READ MORE
