Port Dover, Ont. residents weren’t dreaming when they said their tap water was off
Water was described as 'bleachy'

Port Dover, Ont. – Residents of this Lake Erie town noted their tap water wasn’t quite right last year. Reports of the water being “bleachy” were accurate as it turns out, as data obtained in the fall suggested there were spikes in post-chlorine residuals. Port Dover’s water treatment plant is undergoing major repairs and upgrades. The chlorine spikes were the result of pumps continuing to operate while the mobile membrane plant was shuttered for scheduled maintenance.
