Sodium levels in Peterborough-area water almost double recommended amounts

Health officials say no health threat posed

Peterborough, Ont. – The Buckhorn Lake Estates has higher-than-recommended levels of sodium in its drinking water system, but local health officials say it doesn’t pose a safety threat. If sodium levels exceed 20 milligrams per litre, it must be reported to the local medical officer of health. The water at Buckhorn Lake Estates contained 48.3 milligrams per litre when tested earlier in January. Penticton Herald report | READ MORE
