The i::scan is a new miniature multi-parameter spectrophotometer probe that combines the versatility of a spectrophotometer probe with the low cost of a simple photometer.
The probe is suitable for a range of cost-sensitive, simple applications and highly resolved smart water grids in small, unmanned plants or single-building protection, says manufacturer Aquatic Life in a press release.
Due to its low power consumption the probe can be easily powered by solar panels and used in unmanned stations. As UV-Vis spectrometry is a purely optical technique, no chemicals or other consumables are needed.
The compact design allows the insertion of the probe directly into pressurized water pipes, making the i::scan, combined with its in-pipe solutions, the ideal product for smart water grids.
The inpipe monitoring equipment is easy to use and operate and can be installed in 30 minutes in any pipeline without interruption of service.
