India proposes new guidelines on ground water usage by industries

India – With the aim of completely changing the way ground water is managed, the central government of India has proposed guidelines that stipulate all industries, mining and infrastructure dewatering projects that draw or propose to draw ground water will now need to obtain a no-objection certificate.
