Student-aimed website gives the lowdown on everything they should know about groundwater

Groundwater is the most abundant source of freshwater on earth. It is largely hidden and can be found under mountains, plains and deserts. As climate change continues to dry up much of the world, the demand for groundwater is apt to increase. Groundwater is also threatened by pollution. Reducing pollution and finding new ways to purify groundwater are seen as a means of protecting this resource. Removing salt is one such measure. With the recent conclusion of Groundwater Awareness Week, an educational website aimed at students provides a good introduction to groundwater and how it can be preserved.
