Testing of Stoney Nakoda First Nation tap water nears completion
Cisterns, wells, septic fields also being checked

Cochrane, Alta. – Water sampling at the Stoney Nakoda First Nation community is ready to wrap up as part of the reserve’s latest testing program. The program, funded by Environment Canada, tests drinking water at the First Nation community for calcium, iron, cholera and other potentially harmful bacteria. Other measures in the program include locating, measuring and checking cisterns, wells and septic fields. Sampling began in August of last year. Cochrane Today report | READ MORE
