U.S. Senate passes bills containing aid for Flint water crisis

Washington – A group of U.S. Democratic senators late Friday relented in their campaign to hold up the final bills of the session, allowing the Senate to approve emergency aid for Flint, Mich., and to prevent a government shutdown.
