USask ready to graduate its first environmental geoscience student

Saskatoon – The University of Saskatchewan is graduating its first geoscience student. Matt Fellwock of Moose Jaw is to receive his environmental geoscience degree at the school’s fall convocation. The science is made up of sub-disciplines that include geochemistry, sedimentology, geomicrobiology, geophysics, mineralogy, paleontology and hydrogeology. He recently spent two weeks in the Yukon Territory, studying uranium and arsenic geogenic contamination of water systems due to climate change and permafrost thaw.
