UVic researchers look to ensure reverse osmosis technology continues to provide clean water

Victoria, B.C. – A University of Victoria professor and her research team have been awarded a $300,000 grant to ensure reverse osmosis membrane technology remains clean, safe and unclogged. She says the challenge of the research is knowing that microbes can grow on membrane surfaces, filling their pores, and requiring greater energy to push water through.
