Waterloo, Ont. – World Water Day, to be celebrated Tuesday, March 22, marks a cross-country checkup on Canada’s groundwater in a virtually-delivered presentation by the University of Waterloo.
The message for the day is, “A Cross-Country Checkup on Canada’s Groundwater: Perspectives on the Future of one of Canada’s most Valuable Resources.”
The United Nations has chosen the theme “Groundwater: Making the Invisible, Visible” for this year’s World Water Day.
The virtual event will include a panel discussion among some of Canada’s leading hydrogeologists. They will explore current and future challenges facing Canada’s groundwater with a look towards sustainable management in a changing world.
