Volunteers giving out bottled water to Gravenhurst residents under boil-water advisory

Gravenhurst, Ont. – Volunteers have been handing out bottled water to residents of Gravenhurst who have been under a boil-water advisory since Saturday. The Muskoka District Health Unit initially issued a do-not-use advisory after officials responded to a low fluoride monitoring alarm at the town’s water treatment plant. Although the problem was resolved, it was subsequently learned a fluoride container had been labeled improperly, forcing the plant’s shutdown to ensure there was no contamination.
