Water conservation encouraged this summer in Vancouver in spite of cooler, wetter weather
Reservoirs expected to decline July-August

Vancouver – Cooler and wetter summer weather is expected this year in British Columbia – as compared with last summer’s record-breaking heat dome – but the need to conserve water in the city is as important as ever, experts say. Reservoir levels are expected to be at their lowest from mid-July to mid-August when – based on data from 2015 to 2021 – they averaged 170 billion litres. It produces a strain on the city’s water supply which is already impacted by a growing population and a reduction of a reservoir-feeding snowpack. CBC News report | READ MORE
