Water sampling completed at site of Wheatley, Ont.’s summer gas explosion

Wheatley, Ont. – Water sampling from the town’s monitoring wells has wrapped up in the aftermath of last summer’s gas explosion which left 20 people injured. Samples taken from the monitoring wells are being compared with those taken from the explosion’s source. The monitoring wells were recently installed near a secondary area of concern at the evacuation zone. Gas has been detected about six times since August in the evacuation zone.
