Work set to begin on $270-million expansion of Collingwood, Ont. water plant

Collingwood, Ont. – Ground has been broken for a $270-million water plant expansion. The project is a collaboration between the towns of Collingwood and North Temcumseth that will provide water for about 24,000 households. Another 36,000 homes will be serviced once the second phase of the project is completed. The expansion project is expected to take about seven years to complete.
