WSP acquires LBG, expands services in U.S.

Nov. 21, 2017, Montreal – WSP Global recently acquired Leggette, Brashears and Graham, a 150-employee ground water and environmental engineering services firm based in the United States.

LBG, whose headquarters is in Shelton, Conn., is a firm with 70 years of expertise in hydrogeology, ground water and surface water modelling, dewatering and depressurization, environmental investigation and remediation. The acquisition will bolster WSP’s Water and Environment practice by increasing its ground water geology capabilities, strengthening its environmental services expertise and expanding its national footprint, WSP said in a news release.

“The addition of LBG to the WSP team, along with the 2016 acquisition of Schlumberger Water Services, further strengthens our market share in the water and environment sectors, while expanding our engineering and consulting services to private, municipal and federal clients,” said Gregory A. Kelly, president and chief executive officer of WSP in the U.S. and Latin America.
