Zodiac Fabrics Company based in London, Ont., rebranded itself on Oct. 5 to become known as Carriff Canada.
For the past 18 years, Zodiac Fabrics has worked in tandem with its North Carolina-based sister company, Carriff Corporation, to manufacture and supply its Aquasleeve brand of filter socks for the groundwater monitoring and remediation industry. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Carriff Engineered Fabrics Company.
When the company made the decision earlier this year to update its website, it seemed to be the appropriate time to rebrand its Canadian operations.
According to Paul Mutter, vice-president of sales and marketing for the company, when the two companies merged in 2002, each had its own identity and brand recognition in the marketplace and so the decision was made at that time to retain the identity of the two companies. However, “operating the same company with two names, has always been awkward from a marketing standpoint. It is our expectation that collectively, we will simply be known in the market as “Carriff” with manufacturing locations in both the United States and in Canada.”
Its new website, carriff.com launched on the same day to coincide with the name change.
Carriff is a manufacturer of circular-knit geotextile filter envelopes. The company offers a wide range of standard and customized products, providing different filtration characteristics to meet specific soil types. Its Aquasleeve product line is available to fit pipes with diameters ranging from 2” (50 mm) to 12” (300 mm).
