Drinking water quality could be compromised by proposed farm workers’ accommodations
Septic system would need to be built near key water source

Vernon, B.C. – It’s feared the drinking water quality for Greater Vernon residents could be compromised if an agriculture company’s proposed development proceeds. The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee was told by staff that a proposal to build two seasonal worker accommodation facilities, housing as many as 96 seasonal workers, would necessitate a septic system that would be located next to Coldstream Creek which feeds a key drinking water source.
