Virden, Man. – After experiencing a water shortage, the town has tapped into an old aquifer but has found it to contain high levels of arsenic. The town is now under a water advisory. The municipality suggests the town of about 3,000 people used bottled water or other sources for drinking and cooking, noting that boiling water may increase arsenic concentrations.
