Chatham-Kent-area well water owners hoping ombudsman can help resolve their plight
Well water has been rendered unpotable since installation of wind turbines

Chatham-Kent, Ont. – An ombudsman has been called upon to investigate a water well crisis that has plagued local residents for upwards of nine years. Property owners in the Mitchell’s Bay area have been without potable water since the installation of the nearby East Lake St. Clair Wind Farm. Although previous studies have been done to determine the relationship between the wind turbines and the beginning of sediment-laded well water, affected residents have had little to no satisfaction.
