Prince George, B.C. – A significant lack of snow and rain has put some area wells at risk. Below-average precipitation has led to drought-like conditions, adversely affecting thousands of residents who rely on groundwater as their drinking water source. More snow and rain is needed to recharge the sources. The Prince George area experienced less than two-thirds of the usual precipitation in 2023 that would normally be expected in a year.
