Carcinogens found on Osoyoos, B.C. water supply, adding to existing concerns

Osoyoos, B.C. – Already dealing with capacity and quality issues with its community water system, the town is now showing carcinogens in its water, according to recent testing. High levels of ammonia and organic carbon have been found in the water which have been traced to agricultural fertilizers which interact with chlorine in the water to produce the harmful carcinogens.
