Living Lakes Canada shares lake management strategies with turmoil-embroiled Myanmar

Nelson, B.C. – Living Lakes Canada, a Columbia Basin-based water stewardship non-profit organization, has shared its perspective on lake management with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Myanmar. Myanmar is a southeast Asian country currently embroiled in turmoil since giving in to a military coup last February. Much of the focus of Living Lakes’ presentation was aimed Inle Lake, an important Myanmar water body that belongs to UNESCO’s World Network of Biosphere Reserves and which has come under pressure from pollution, overfishing, population growth, agriculture, and climate change impacts. e-know.ca report | READ MORE
