Wind farm pile work to start amid water worries

Jan. 15, 2018, Wallaceburg, Ont. – The Otter Creek wind farm proposed for north of Wallaceburg, Ont., will begin installing and testing piles at three turbine locations starting next week. Residents have voiced concerns that pile-driving vibration in other areas in Chatham-Kent during wind turbine construction has led to water wells becoming black with turbid water and contaminated with heavy metals.
