Perry has volunteered for the BCGWA since the early 1970s. “I
helped Mary Nelson, who was the first secretary of the B.C. Ground Water
Association since its inception in 1970,” said Perry in an email. “So, I have
basically been with the Association for about 40 years.  I have been involved with three CanWells. It
is definitely time to move on.”

Among her plans are trips to Whitehorse and Hawaii and
more time with her new grandson.

She says she has been invited back to the 2015 Regional
Convention as a guest. “It won’t be the same to not greet the familiar faces at
the desk as they register but I look forward to seeing everyone again,” she
said. “It will give me more visiting time!”

Debbie Lamont of Precision Service & Pumps Inc. in
Abbotsford will take the reins as secretary come Sept. 30. She may be reached
