June 5, 2015, Cambridge, Ont. – The Canadian Association of Pump Manufacturers (CAPM) held its
annual general meeting on June 4 at the Galt Country Club in Cambridge, Ont.

Sixteen people were in attendance and president Richard Barg
from Xylem Applied Water Systems led the meeting. Barg gave a recap of the association
events over the 2014-15 year that included awarding two scholarships – one to a
student in Conestoga College in Kitchener and one to a student in Red River
College in Winnipeg. The CAPM had a representative at both schools’ awards
ceremonies and was able to get great exposure for not only the association but
also the water well industry.

A discussion on pump and tank statistics and how the numbers
are shared followed.

Afterwards the board of directors for the coming term were
voted on and approved. The new board will consist of president Richard Barg of
Xylem Applied Water Systems; vice-president Steve Ritsema of Liberty Pumps;
officer Stuart Saville of Zoeller Canada; and directors Todd Sutherland of Pentair
Canada, Sean Welsh of Franklin Electric and Eric Lemay of Flexcon Industries.

The association then made a special presentation to Crane
Pumps’ recently retired Angelo Ramolo, and made him an Honorary Lifetime Member
of the association.

After the business portion of the meeting was completed a
discussion on the future direction and goals of the association took place.

Lunch and a round of golf completed the day. The next
meeting will be held in the fall.
