Toronto – Aysha Muzaffar has joined Canadian Water Quality Association as program manager reporting to the board of directors.
Muzaffar will assist in managing, co-ordinating, planning and providing support to the board and various committees on projects that will further the goals, mission and the strategic direction of the association, CWQA president Shelley Peters said in a news release.
“Over the past several years the association has seen positive growth in providing relevant programs and services to its members. The addition of Aysha will ensure that members’ interests are continued to be well represented,” Peters said.
Muzaffar, who has five years of project management experience in the non-profit sector, recently helped run RouseHope, which is a non-profit that aids Syrian refugee families in effectively rebuilding their lives, and becoming self-reliant. She has a bachelor degree from York University, a certificate from Sheridan College for project management and speaks two languages.
She previously worked as a project manager at the Ontario Centres of Excellence where she organized OCE’s flagship program portfolio, managed the relationship between OCE’s Business Development group and major Ontario academic institutions and innovation partners, compiled sector analysis, and provided sector strategy.
