Elmvale, Ont. residents fear their ‘cleanest water in the world’ may be in jeopardy

Elmvale, Ont. – Scientists believe this Ontario town has the world’s cleanest groundwater, but fear the operations of neighbouring quarries may be putting that claim at risk. CBC’s The National recently aired a story about the local groundwater, in which residents say they’ve noticed significant changes in the water quality since 2009 when a nearby quarry drew water to wash gravel.
