Environmental study for Hydro One line lacks important water well data, says local advocate
Study doesn't include data from North Kent wind turbines' impacts

Chatham, Ont. – Hydro One’s $300-million St. Clair Transmission Line project has undergone its final environmental study report, but it’s missing something important, a local water well advocate says. The project, which is expected to be completed by 2028, will adopt construction methods that minimize the impact on groundwater, Hydro One claims. The founder of Water Wells First, however, said the study neglects the call for a baseline study in North Kent where water well issues have been occurring since the installation of wind turbines a decade ago.
