Ottawa – A debate on Monday in the House of Commons over Bill C-61 – or the First Nations Clean Water Act – became heated after comments made by Saskatoon Conservative MP Kevin Waugh. He claimed water treatment plants were being burned down on First Nations reserves in Saskatchewan because the federal government has done little to nothing to help.
